Urban Screen Review

Write for us

Urban Screen Review welcomes pitches that help readers notice how public screens work in real places. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting an unsolicited finished article.

What we are looking for

We consider reported explainers, visual analyses, histories and grounded comparisons about displays, placement, content and attention in shared urban settings. A strong piece has one clear question, a defined scope and a reason the subject matters beyond a single passing example.

Make the pitch concrete

Tell us the proposed angle, the main points you would establish, the material you would use and why you are suited to the subject. Name any access limits, relevant interests or images you expect to include. Keep claims proportionate to the evidence and avoid pitches that depend on unsupported generalisations.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and any relevant samples or descriptions in your message. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; please wait for a response before writing a full draft.

Our point of view

A screen belongs to its surroundings

We look beyond the image to the frame, location and conditions of viewing. Those details are part of what a public screen says.
